Lifecasters
Hurwit was one of the subjects on “Lifecasters,” a sixty-minute PBS production. On February 6, 2013, it received its world premiere at Lincoln Center, New York City, where he was honored on stage. Following the premiere, the production has been broadcast nationally on prime time. One-third of the production consists of his segment entitled "The Gambling Man" which tells the story of a physician, who with no music educational training, was able to write an award-winning symphony. A preview or the full segment can be viewed below.
